Eric Holst is an ecologist and the manager of the Center for Conservation Incentives (CCI) California program based in Sacramento. A fourth generation Californian, he is an expert in developing strategies for wildlife conservation and habitat restoration on working forests, farms and ranches. Most recently, Eric was an independent consultant advising foundations and conservation organizations on conservation strategy and policy development.
Eric previously served as executive director of the Resources Legacy Fund where he helped guide the overall operations of this innovative funding intermediary. Prior to that, he served as program officer for the environment at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation where he was responsible for managing a $15 million grant portfolio in the areas of forest conservation and conservation leadership. Eric has also held professional positions at the Rainforest Alliance and Ford Foundation.
