David Miller

  • David Miller is Chief Science Officer for AgraGate Climate Credits Corporation and director of research and commodity services for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
  • As director of IFBF’s research and commodity services division, Miller helped IFBF become a leader in carbon credit aggregation.  He has also been a key player in helping to establish the rules of the Chicago Climate Exchange on carbon offsets.
  • As the Chief Science Officer for AgraGate Climate Credits Corporation, Miller has been instrumental in developing carbon credit protocols for agriculture and developing the contracts and aggregations services so that farmers, ranchers and landowners can participate in carbon programs.  Miller serves on the Offset committee of the Chicago Climate Exchange and is member of several working groups that are developing carbon policy proposals including the Midwest Governors Association Climate Initiative, the Iowa Climate Council, the 25 by 25 Energy Coalition Carbon Workgroup, the Carbon Credit Workgroup of the Chicago Economic Council and the steering committee of the Coalition of Agricultural Greenhouse Gases.
  • Miller received a BS degree in Agriculture and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri and completed the course work for a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics.
